State Policy Strategies to Prevent Climate Change in Order to Preserve Public Health

As one of the biggest public health threats today, climate change is a health equity issue“  – American Public Health Association, 2018

Global warming is a growing public health threat.  Now the question of prevention is at the fore: How do we stop it? How can Illinois lead in the race to build a clean energy economy – One that promotes equity, eliminates fossil fuel emissions in power generation and transportation, and improves public health. This event will discuss the health impacts of climate change and host a dialogue on strategies aimed at accomplishing this transition in Illinois to make the state a leader in eliminating the health threats from climate change.

This event will be hosted at the University of Illinois School of Public Health. Additional details about the event, including the meeting room, will be shared prior to September 27th.
