CHICAGO, IL – Towerrunning USA, in conjunction with Respiratory Health Association, is pleased to announce the 2025 Towerrunning USA Championship will be partnering with Hustle Chicago stair climb next year.

The race takes place on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the iconic former John Hancock Center, now known as 875 N. Michigan Ave., in Chicago, IL.  The championship wave will head up the stairs first at 6:50 AM, populated by the USA’s top-ranked stair climbers as well as a select group of international competitors.  Racers will charge up 94 floors and 1,632 steps, ending a thousand feet above street level, recovering with epic views of downtown Chicago and the sunrise over Lake Michigan.

The elite spots will be distributed based on the USA ranking as of November 4th, 2024, and the international spots by world ranking. As a result of hosting the U.S. championship, Hustle Chicago is awarded the highest point total in the USA at 250 points. To face the best competition and also get access to the biggest ranking boost available, stair climbers are encouraged to come to Chicago and take part in this event.

“We are excited to partner with Towerrunning USA to bring the U.S. Championships to the Hustle Chicago stair climb for 2025. This truly shows that RHA’s stair climb is not only the premier climbing event in Chicago, but for all of the United States,” said Robert Anderson, CEO and President of Respiratory Health Association. “We are ready to provide an outstanding event for elite climbers from all over the world right here in Chicago.  It also is a special opportunity for our local climbing and sports community to participate alongside the world’s best.  It will be a memorable event, and you don’t want to miss out!”

The 28th annual Hustle Chicago stair climb, the city’s iconic stair-climbing challenge, is not just a race; it’s a testament to the city’s spirit of endurance and community. This event has become a beloved tradition, symbolizing a collective climb towards better health and environmental consciousness.

Everyone will have time to mingle and socialize at the post-race party across the street, with food, drinks, and music. Proceeds from this charity event benefit Respiratory Health Association.
