Nixon Peabody’s John Ruskusky Elected to RHA Board of Directors
CHICAGO—July 9, 2025—Respiratory Health Association (RHA) is proud to announce that Nixon Peabody partner John Ruskusky has been elected to the Board of Directors. A seasoned trial lawyer who represents companies and individuals in high-stakes business litigation, Ruskusky brings both strategic insight and a proven track record of counseling businesses and their executives to the RHA Board.
Ruskusky, who leads Nixon Peabody’s Complex Disputes practice and co-leads the firm’s Biometric Information Privacy Act team, has extensive experience in arbitration and counseling Fortune 500 and other large organizations on the management of complex disputes throughout the country. Throughout his nearly 30 years practicing as a trial attorney, he has served as lead counsel for multiple corporations and investors across diverse industries on a wide range of disputes, including large business transactions (such as distribution and purchase agreements), life sciences and medical devices concerns, fiduciary duty claims, data privacy matters, and dissolutions and valuations. He also serves on Nixon Peabody’s Pro Bono Committee and, in addition to the firm’s pro bono work supporting RHA, John regularly advocates for victims of domestic violence in obtaining orders of protection and other pro bono projects.

Ruskusky attended George Washington University Law School, graduating with highest honors, and earned a BS, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame.
