Respiratory Health Association Remembers Former Board Chair Denise M. Stauder

It is with heavy hearts we share that Denise M. Stauder passed away on May 16, 2026. She was a former Respiratory Health Association Board member and long-time supporter of RHA’s mission and work.  

Ms. Stauder served on the RHA Board starting in 1980. She was a Board officer from 1985-1997 and was Board Chair for 1996-1997. 

“Denise Stauder was deeply committed to the mission and goals of the organization,” said Cathy Catrombone, RHA Board Co-Chair. “Long after retirement from the board, we would have frequent conversations where she provided strategic direction for RHA and innovative suggestions for our educational programs and policy endeavors.”

After her time on the Board, she continued to actively support the mission by attending RHA programs and events. In 2000, she was awarded the Herbet C. DeYoung Medal, the highest honor RHA bestows on its volunteers.
