Respiratory Health Association is pleased to welcome Anna M. Clausen, MBA, PMP, to its Board of Directors. A global project and program manager with more than 30 years of experience at Abbott, Clausen has led complex initiatives across diagnostics, nutrition, regulatory operations, R&D, and global marketing, and brings a long history of volunteer leadership, including service as an RHA Membership Representative.
“Anna has been a dedicated part of the RHA Community for many years, and her passion for our mission, as well as her industry leadership, will be a valuable part of our Board,” Rob Anderson, RHA President and CEO stated.
Clausen is Project Manager II, Regulatory Operations, in Abbott’s Diagnostics Division, where she coordinates audits with the FDA and global notified bodies and manages state licensing for Abbott Diagnostics sites nationwide. Since joining Abbott in 1995, she has held roles spanning quality, R&D, and commercialization. As Senior Global Marketing Manager for Abbott Nutrition International, she led global marketing and education programs for brands including Ensure and Glucerna. As Product Manager for Global Marketing in Diagnostics, she supported the launch of the Alinity ci-series, contributing to an average 78% monthly growth rate and more than $26 million in reagent sales in 2018.
“My connection to RHA began in 2008 when I joined Abbott’s Hustle up the Hancock team. What started as a climb for a great cause became something I returned to nearly a dozen times, because the mission truly resonated with me. As an endurance athlete, I never take the ability to breathe deeply and pursue the things I love for granted, and having family members affected by lung disease makes this cause especially close to my heart. I’m honored to join the RHA Board and hope to give back to an organization that makes such a meaningful difference in people’s lives,” said Clausen.
Clausen was named Abbott’s 2018 Working Mother of the Year. An accomplished endurance athlete, she is a 13-time Ironman Triathlon finisher and has completed all six Abbott World Marathon Majors: Boston, Chicago, New York, Berlin, London, and Tokyo. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Dare2Tri. Clausen holds an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is a certified Project Management Professional.
