Respiratory Health Association Welcomes Pediatric Pulmonologist Susanna A. McColley, MD, to Board of Directors

Respiratory Health Association is pleased to welcome Susanna A. McColley, MD, FAAP, ATSF, to its Board of Directors. A nationally recognized leader in pediatric pulmonary medicine, Dr. McColley has spent more than three decades advancing respiratory health through clinical care, research, and education at some of the country’s most respected institutions.
“Dr. McColley’s expertise in pediatric pulmonology and her commitment to impactful work here in Chicago make her an invaluable addition to RHA’s Board,” Rob Anderson, RHA President and CEO stated.
Dr. McColley is Professor of Pediatrics in Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Scientific Director for Interdisciplinary Research Partnerships at the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Her career has spanned clinical leadership, quality improvement, and translational research, with a long record of work in cystic fibrosis, pediatric lung disease, and health equity.
“I’m humbled and thrilled to join the RHA Board of Directors, an organization whose longstanding commitment to lung health has made a meaningful impact across our communities. I’m eager to collaborate with fellow leaders on innovative approaches to advance education, advocacy, and access to care. RHA’s mission aligns with my values and career focus to improve respiratory health for all, and I’m excited to bring my experience in child health to the board,” said Dr. McColley.
Dr. McColley has been recognized with two Presidential Commendations from the American Thoracic Society, multiple Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Quality Care Awards, and has been named one of the Best Doctors in Chicago by Castle Connolly every year from 2012 through 2025.
