The Respiratory Health Association (RHA) is proud to announce that we have been recognized at the 68th Publicity Club of Chicago’s Annual Golden Trumpet Awards for “RHA Rescues Funding for Illinois School Program.” This acknowledgment highlights RHA’s ongoing dedication to the RESCUE Illinois Schools program which supplies asthma equipment and provides asthma education for school nurses.
Since the start of the program, RHA in partnership with Asthma and Allergy Impact and Rescue (AAIR) RESCUE Illinois Schools, trained over 2,500 school staff and provided equipment and medications to more than 3,000 (80%) Illinois schools. Now, 830 schools reported using the emergency medication 1,172 times on students in respiratory distress. And 360 students avoided an ER visit because asthma medication was available.
“The RESCUE Illinois Schools program is vital to keeping students in class and out of the emergency room,” said Rob Anderson, President and CEO of RHA. “We are incredibly proud that RHA can stand alongside some of the biggest names in public relations. This recognition is a testament to the passion, dedication, and creativity of our team.”
