Research Grants and Awards

Since 1998, RHA has awarded 60 lung health research grants in excess of $3.8 million. Lung cancer research was the focus of 45% of these grants ($1.7M) with asthma grants, awarded from 2002-2012, accounting for 30% of research grants ($1.1M). Other grants (25% or $912,000) supported a variety of studies including those focused on pulmonary hypertension and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
