CHICAGO, July 29, 2024 — Robert D. Anderson has been selected by the Board of Directors to serve as the President and CEO of Respiratory Health Association (RHA) effective today. RHA is a public health nonprofit, headquartered in Chicago, with a focus on preventing lung disease and promoting clean air.
 
“Respiratory Health Association is excited to welcome Rob as its new President and CEO,” said RHA Board Co-Chairs Cathy Catrambone and Cindy Gronkiewicz. “As we look to the future, we are confident he is ready to fight for healthy lungs and clean air for everyone.”
 
The not-for-profit RHA works on a number of fronts to fight lung disease and promote clean air. RHA programs educate students on asthma management, grant funding to lung health researchers, assist patients diagnosed with COPD, and advocate for clean air legislation and policies that curb tobacco use.
 
“I am humbled and honored to be selected as the next President and CEO of RHA,” said Anderson. “The organization has a strong 118-year history, and I am thrilled to continue this legacy by leading our efforts to advocate for patients with lung disease and educate the public on the need to reduce air pollution.”
 
Rob brings over 20 years of nonprofit and fundraising experience to his new role. He is recognized for building successful partnerships and strategic planning that leads to innovative business solutions.  Rob has a track record of developing cross-functional, collaborative teams that help drive growth. Prior to joining RHA, he was the Assistant Vice President of Mission at Catholic Extension. In this role, Rob led strategy for funding decisions impacting 15 million people in underserved communities across the United States and multiplied that impact through national partnerships. Previously at Loyola Marymount University, he created the award-winning fundraising campaign LionsFund, significantly increasing funds raised for the university’s athletics programs.
 
Rob earned his undergraduate degree in business and information systems from Loyola Marymount University in 2000, as well as an MBA from the same institution in 2004. He lives in Chicago with his wife Megan and their three children.
